    Slant/trail combo

What is the best way to stop a slant/trail route combo over the middle from a cover 3 base??? ive tried many combos, some have worked and some have not. The best ive come up with is to put the De in man coverage on the trail and user the player assigned the flat zone to go over the middle and try to make a pick.. ive also tried using a spy but have had limited success.

User the FS over the middle right where the slant is going. I've run the slant trail in games and it seem that if my opponent presses the coverage then it takes longer for routes to develop and I'm just about sacked waiting for route to clear

everyone have their own tactics in madden when it comes to defence but i would take the slant away and force him to throw to the y trail route and try to strip fumble ....thats what i do and i get like 3 fumbles a game
