    Help with a quick pass

I have seen this a few times in the past few days. Typically from an I form. The quarterback takes the snap and passes to the receiver immediately and (this is the key) the receiver is waiting for the pass (so not a streak or fade or anything I can seem to find in any playbook).

I would love to be able to do this from an audible. Particularly if the defense is showing engage eight or some other read where I know the cb's are going to be in a blue zone.

Anyone know what this play is/playbook?

Thanks...No motion...I think it was behind center (not shotgun). It was snap and throw to the wideout immediately who was wide (not close)...and they were still at the line of scrimmage. I have looked for this play but can not find in any of the playbooks.

This works with any inside or outside cutting route with quick motion. The routes used from I Form are probably the squiggly outside curl. Motion the receiver inside a step, hike, and throw immediately with an outside pass lead.

this is what i thought also but he said no motion.. maybe it was a wr screen.. there are some in the single back formations for sure,, ( ace pair.. ) a wide reciever screen would be a great playcall against a zone blitz with the cornerback in a deep blue zone, whether it was the play or not.
Also there is a play in I form ( atl pb ) called Flanker Smoke.. the right wide reciever just turns and waits for the ball..
