Adam Jones 6 Years 85 Million

No, not Pac Man, Adam Jones of the 1st place Baltimore Orioles. I'm pretty surprised the amount he received given his propensity to go missing months at a time. Still, a solid player and its obvious that him, Weiters, Markakis and Arietta are the core. The question is, when will the O's start to fizzle? They can't keep it up all year, right?
Welker a possesion WR's just like all Caucasian WR's so when you can no longer do that, you gotta sit the bench or learn how to kick FGs or Punts -STICKTHEVICKTIM

I'm naturally happy for the O's since I root for a very bad team in the Pirates but I'm not sure how long they can keep it up. Their team is MUCH worse than the Yanks and Rays on paper, but if games were won with projections and stat sheets, the Yanks, Red Sox, Rangers, and Angels would be miles ahead of everyone else.

THe thing is Baltimore was never really a small market team, seems like they've had moderately high payrolls for a while now. Good move to keep a core player in Jones around. Maybe Pittsburgh can offer them Bedard back at the trade deadline and come full circle.

By the All Star Break they should fizzle ...

Now if their pitching stays relatively healthy it could be a different story ...

    But i doubt it ...

when you're the orioles, you kind of have no choice but to overpay, right?

i think they will fizzle, but will remain in the thick of things, kind of like the rays 7 or so years back when they broke through... with that extra wild card fringe teams can now afford to try and stay in it and have some extra incentive and can realistically believe they can make the playoffs

With Machado and Bundy on the way, this team is going to be very good for a while.
