I kinda care. Not gonna bother watching it though. I wouldn't be surprised either way. Mir could break his arm off at the shoulder or JDS could break Mir's face in the first 30 seconds.

The lighter weight classes are where it's at now.

UFC has no depth whatsoever in their talent pool. I don't know why guys like Mir, Rampage, Franklin, and Griffin continually get title shots.

It's because it's a one-on-one sport. Just because a fighter isn't the best in the world, doesn't mean he isn't a great fighter. Dominant champions like George St. Pierre, Anderson Silva, and Jon Jones are so good that they make every opponent look weak.

Pretty much this. The one class without a dominant champ (lw), is lauded as the best division. It's all relative.

I think it has to do with energy level as well. Guys like Guida, Petit, Nate, Gilbert, etc. seem to just be able to go at it for a whole fight nonstop. Even the ground game with the smaller classes is more entertaining.

No doubt. But like, before Jon jones became champ lhw was considered ridiculously deep. Now he has already run out of challengers.
