its one of the worst about customs.

The read option was good in Madden 10, SICK in Madden 11 and then died in Madden 12
Madden 10 had the read option in Tenn. lt had 2 wrs on each side with the quick aud being the quick out. If they came out in a 34 or brought a CB in the box just dot it for at least a 4 yard gain depending on the receiver. If all receivers were covered and only a MLB in the box then zone read was lethal. If they brought down a safety then look deep. Slowed down user players because of that hesitation of the zone read (QB take or HB take or PA). I used the Fins (Pat White at QB)
In Madden 11 same thing but worse since it was so easy to score in that game. Best zone option team too Vikings (Joe Webb, AP, Berrian, Harvin,Rice, and Moss) My games would be in 70s all the time
In 12 i've tried to replicate my zone option success but they took out the Tennessee look with 2wrs on each side which kills it. It's easily stopped by simply having more in the box. TE's arent that good in the spread blocking game and the hitch step for the qb is one of the worse in years(Don't see why qbs have to have a hitch when running foward but HBs don't). There is a read option in RnG i think thats in a Snugs look which is DEADLY with the Buccs but that's about it since with the the WRs being close they have blocking assignments.
The future of the zone option in Madden seems bright though. I think we'll see the most creative schemes this year due to the legendary PBs which look sick. I was very successful with the WC in 12 but my heart is with the Zone option. Hopefully I get a chance to showcase what I've come up with on another GOTW.
