I guess it's going to be a 2 part series finale, 2 more episodes and I think 8 in January to wrap it up.

Still unsure how this plays out great show
No this year is half of season 5. 2 more episodes this year, and 8 more in the summer of next year.

Walter isn't in it for the money anymore, he's in it for the power. Also, in the previews for next week, Walt tells Jesse he's not allowed to leave unless he wants to get nothing. That should be interesting.

I think Walt is turning into a darker and darker character as the season goes on. The part where Walt tries to act like he feels for Pinkman when they see the missing kid on the news, then starts whistling like all was right in the world just a few minutes is indicative of that.

I have a feeling he's gonna go to full blown Gus-like mode and end up dead by season's end. It looks like there's no turning back in him.

Jesse noticed and thats what made Jesse decide he wants out, Walt wants to be the next "Chicken Man"

Well remember the first episode this season, its a yr later Walt has hair , using a different name and he meets that guy in the restaurant and he is given keys and in the trunk of the vehicle is a M60 machinegun with a lot of ammo.
I cant believe they are gonna make us wait a until next summer to end the series

The last two episodes have had issues, IMO. The way in which the security deposit box thing went down was unrealistic (dea could never be staning there at an open door) and then Walt just leaving that Whitman book laying around? Sorry, he's better than that.

Walt's hubris is such that he very well could have kept that book lying around. Plus, it was such a small, loose end that its just the type of feasible mistake that was going to put Hank on his scent in the end.

I thought the pacing of the season was a little rough, since it was eight episodes. But the finale was a work of art.

Side note, Walt's cancer had to have returned, right?

The montage of all the inmate stabbings was full on beastmode. I thought the song playing in the background made the scene. It made it less sinister but just as startling to watch. (if that makes any sense)

That was insane. Gripping and hard to watch at the same time.

That last scene where its just the family doing/talking about mundane things was intense in its own way as well.. felt at any moment something tragic was gonna happen.

Yeah, that last scene seemed way too serene, to a point where it just made me nervous with anticipation. Immediately when I realized it was in Walt's house, I knew Hank was gonna look at that book.

Man, that's cruel to make us wait a whole ****ing year.

And the jail stabbings, crazy ****! Reminds me of those montages of the old UFC fights with classical music in the background; somehow feels artistic seeing so much violence.

Yes I agree! Walt is a faux gangsta that has completely bought into his own self created alter-ego. He's just playing kingpin, he's really just a chemistry teacher but he thinks otherwise. I think it's completley feasible given how over the top he has become.
Telling Mike's meth connection to, "Say my name!", donning his ridiculous hat similar to Rambo strapping on the bandana, and what happened with him and Mike. He's forgotten that he's just a wimpy angry nerd with cancer.

Prior, he was careful and meticulous. Now he's a power monger and is reckless.
