Who do you guys think will be the prime candidates to finish as the worst team in the league this year? It's always fun to try and figure it out but it's not that easy. I don't think anyone had Indy there before the season started. Here's the early candidates:
Arizona- bad QB play could get worse with their horrible OL, Levi Brown is out for the season.
Miami- it would be awkward if they have the first pick and have to stare at the top QB of the class. They have the tools to be the bottom team.
Jacksonville- any Blaine Gabbert team has a shot at the bottom, I think their D will keep them in games though enough to not be the worst.
Cleveland- if Weeden stinks they will probably be the worst in the league. They didn't really add any playmakers to a boring offense and they give up a ton of yards on the ground.
St Louis- another bad season will force them to take a longer look at pulling the plug on Bradford which I don't think is a huge deal because he seems very ordinary but he needs a fair shot.
Indy- QB play keeps teams alive and I think Luck will be as good as advertised. 5-11 at worst.
Minnesota- I wouldn't be surprised if they get passed on for 6000 yards and 50 TD's with the enormous mismatches they will have in their secondary vs division opponents. Strong candidate if AP can't come back but I think Ponder may be good enough to keep them out of the NFL cellar.
Dark Horses:
Jets- there is always a great chance of this team fully imploding and they got weaker on offense this year by not having a #2 or #3 WR and a bad stable of RB's. Again defense should keep them alive.
Broncos- Colts part 2? It would be horrible but there's a chance Peyton goes down early and they wouldn't be able to cope with his loss.
Seattle- not a good team on paper but they usually overperform thanks to an underrated defense and strong running game.
My pick for the worst team in the league would have to be Miami at this point. I think they may be on the right track and Tannehill can be a good QB next season but right now they just don't have enough unless their defense really overperforms.
