    Better Business Bereau?

    Okay so I bought a 46" TV for the Living room from Sam's club. Worked great and we loved it. Five months after purchase we were watching it and it turned off never to power up again. I contact the company and they say we will give you the shipping tags and you ship it back to us. Okay I can do that. Wait a week. Nothing. Call them
    Oh you haven't gotten them yet?
    Yeah my pet aardvark ate them.
    You have a pet Aardvark?
    Nope and I don't have a phucking TV that works either.
    I get the tags and ship it out. They receive the TV. I wait a week. Nothing.
    Call them again.
    Oh it could not be repaired.
    Elaine when were you going to tell me?
    I just received the messages.
    You should check them more than once a week Elaine.
    Well what we can do for you is send you a 3rd party refurbished TV.
    I didn't buy a 3rd party refurbished TV Elaine.
    That is what we have.
    At this point I am becoming a little annoyed.

    My question is should I report them or not? Customer service sucks, faulty products that after researching this problem is quite common.

    You shouldn't have used "abusive" language. Seriously. I know it's stupid, but they can destroy any claim you make against them. They don't have a responsibility to help you if they don't want to. It's along the same lines as somebody calling a waitress a ***** and then not getting served for another 20 minutes. You can still log a complaint though, and should.

    , they gave him terrible service and he's a distraught customer.......customer always right, He can swear if he wants....

    Except the customer is almost never right when it comes to things like this. There's a reason they record all the phone calls and it's not for training purposes. BBB can't really do anything unless they made a decision based on race or blah blah blah.

    Bbb doesn't mean too much. Don't bother. I boycott Wal-Mart for reasons like this. You should too

    If you read my whole comment, you would have seen where I explicitly said he can and should file a complaint. That doesn't change the fact that absolutely nothing will happen. I had to sit through countless seminars on customer relations and the BBB a few years back.

    There's no law saying the customer is always right either, fyi. They don't even have to take back defective merchandise.

    I boycott Wal-Mart for other reasons. They are prejudice against hiring of senior citizens and do not support any sort of union. Known for horrendous working conditions as well.

    They also **** over distributors as far as pricing. They're infamous for breaking contracts and just letting their million lawyers deal with it. One of the shadiest companies in the world. I worked as Loss Prevention for years and my boss even showed me tape of the CEO, not a cashier, department manager, etc, loading up gift cards at an empty register and then handing them out to his friends and ****. I got a check last summer for about 1500 because they ****ed with my hours worked and ****. Unbelievable.

    You're so right. Just because the company is wrong doesn't mean you should show up guns blazin. lol
    Because the person on the other end of the phone is also a human and they still have a little bit of power to make getting what you want a living hell.
