C'mon guys, really? You can't tell me the 32nd guy in the fantasy draft, the guy that picks last each round, will have a team that's comparable in talent with the first few guys that pick each round.

I think that argument won't fly. Someone will always come out with the short end of the stick. Either by poor choice or luck.
I'm sure if you really want to (supposedly) even out teams, you can simply modify rosters then upload the roster for everyone to use in your franchise.

But IMO football shouldn't be even teams. One reason I loved the movie "Moneyball". They know the system is biased, but they still persevere and it's all the more sweeter when a team with "less" talent wins it all.

it usually is rotating..eg you have 1st pick in round one...you will have pick 32 in round 2.

By the time they got it properly coded it, tested on their end (which would be a rush job to get it out and the end result would suck), submitted to Sony and MS for approval and finally out the door it would be February.

Time to let it go. We know it's not there for Madden 13. It's not going to be there in Madden 13. But expect it to be there in M14.

I know that you're correct and it won't stop me from getting it. I don't think it will stop casual buyers from getting it either, although they may bring it back after buying it. I just thought I understood why they did it, thought their reasoning was underhanded, and wanted to make what I thought of their decision and their reasoning public.

Alrighty.... we see you don't know how it works

Fantasy Madden drafts are snake-style ... 1-32 then 32-1 alternating each round. Some people prefer #32 because they get back to back picks when there is still some high end talent to choose from at the start while the guy who got the #1 pick doesn't get his 2nd pick until selection #64 and 65 where they pick back to back. Ideally you'd want a pick at # 12-18 so you are in the middle of each round.

I have to stop short of thinking that I know what they are thinking. Speculation is fun though.

the snake draft5 system the nevadaballn has described is a fair system - in fact their is always an equal number of guys who prefer to draft early - late and in the middle of the draft...

Big difference in picking 1st and 63rd, 15 and 46 or 32nd and 33rd - with advantage to every spot in the draft....

If you want that 1 STUD superstar - u like to pick early... If you are looking for a balanced team with a lot of high end players you want to pick at the end... And the guys that opick in the middle hope that their superstar player slips to them - whcih can be a huge reward....

Greenerrrr already knows how I'm totally supporting him in his multiple efforts (and welcomed ones) to throw his speakings into EAs face. I totally agree with everything he said and I'll boycot everything EA because of this.

This is to show how angry and disappointed I am with their decision.

Well, my game is all paid for and pre-ordered, so I'll get Madden too. Then I'll decide if I'm keeping it or not.

Too bad I realized EA's decision after I bought M13...

Ahhh, well you learn something new everyday.

Honestly though, I think they will be weening more and more out of the online leagues, as they prepare for premium hosted servers.
They know there is a need and a demand to improve online gameplay.

I doubt we will see it until the 720/PS4 though.

If my league is any indication, that's a negative sir. We're already full at 32 members with a waiting list. Those who truly have a competitive spirit love league play.

Unlike random online games where people are just trying to rank up, leagues provide an end game, an opportunity to reach a goal and actually win something (a championship) and then become the target the following season as everyone else aims to gun them down and take that title. It is the epitome of true competition.

If there wasn't a way to play in a league, there would be 10's of thousands of us not buying the game at all. EA would lose money. A lot of money.

    No fantasy draft!?

That was one of the best parts. Getting 2gether with a couple of friends & assembling players to fit your scheme & then sitting back & bragging about your strengths & pointing out your friends weaknesses. I'ma miss that. EA took that experience away from me. I thought that would B in the game automatically.
