New England Patriots DB Kyle Arrington at DE?

He has done it in the past for the New England Patriots so what would happen if DB Kyle Arrington did it again? Madden Tip Nation Member Calhoun County got us on the scent of this trail and we wanted to know what you all thought about it.

Apparently the Patriots are looking to use Arrington’s speed to disrupt quarterbacks this season. Only there’s is a catch. It would be at defensive end.

Take a look at the video of Arrington rushing, then Colts QB Peyton Manning, and forcing an interception!

Arrington Pass Rush Leads to INT!

Will you use an outside the box defensive scheme like this in Madden NFL 13? Let us know below!

This is also interesting because EA added the new defensive formation "WR DIME" behind the patriots scheme. But when I looked through thier defensive playbook, I didn't see Dime

I think this is DEF going to be the year of DB/FS/SS blitzes. Whether their at DE or not there are a LOT of plays in these 4 playbooks alone that will get a DB or FS to shoot through a gap untouched just by showing blitz and maybe 1 or 2 more adjustments

haha - just mean that i understand why people say the things they do about it - how it wouldnt be NFL like to put him there.

NFL like at its purest form really is all about winning? do anything to win? putting arrington at DE isnt cheating - they will try it all if it helps them win.

but sim also means trying to replicate the current gameplan.

its pretty deep in terms of what it is and isnt - i have learned so much about it and has given me a much bigger picture of what sim is.

Don't forget, most Madden players leave their core players on the field for an entire game. However, in the NFL, you rarely see the same players play for more than a couple downs in a row.

I would say you dont see the same package.. certain players come off in passing situations and some rotate for fatigue ( mostly D line. ) but the core players play every snap

I was just saying that there's a lot more rotation in the NFL than in Madden. I've never understood the hardcore "Sim" player mindset.

No worries. The thing is, it really doesn't matter if the pats play a CB at DE irl, people have been doing crazier for years. Once I was in a league where Devin Hester was the league leader in sacks.

Some people will do whatever they need to do to compete. All others draw their line in the sand at different levels. I don't think real life has an impact on this at all ;p

There's no right or wrong, just different perspectives.

Um where and when did u hear coaches say they don't respect Belichick? Some may not like him, but they sure as hell respect him and I'm equally sure he doesn't care.

Lol, he was just using some of the stereotypical rants after getting beat by a "cheeser".
