    User Catching and Passing

Need some input on User catching and passing

When I use the Classic view I can see things better, ie. throwing lanes and Saftey movement. When I go to throw, is there a technique I should use to hit that WR? I know you can lead a guy or zing it tight when they are moving across the screen, but what about when they are going down field? What do you do when a guy is in zone and the DB is covering deep 1/3 and the WR is trailing him? Do you pull back and throw? When I zing it, it seems like it blows by him either left or right?
I do have problems with the Classic view with seeing the field and what blitzs someone is bringing. I know where my WR are suppose to be, but without moving my qb over to that line of sight I can't pick them up. I use Overhead alot to, maybe even most of the time. I practice and that is in Classic, but in the gam,e i go to overhead because that is available. Also in practice I hit it like clock work, but the game is diiferent than practice.
In my games with Holy and Sean Madden, I had WR open and trailing the DB and When I threw it, It went ahead of the DB and WR so that the DB had better postion. How do I get this under control?

I use overhead exclusively, since you can see the whole field. I use peripheral vision to do my reads: I will look directly at the CB covering the WR I want to hit as my primary, and while im watching him to see what coverage he is in, I pay attention to how the LB and S on that side are 'creeping' so I know which secondary route to hit.

As to your question, the answer is practice. Different routes require different throwing methods, and can be influenced by factors like QB handedness and position on the field (left/right hash, middle).

Practice mode does have the issue of not really replicating game conditions. Everything seems a bit smoother and faster in practice mode than in games.

One of the things I do is after practice mode to learn the plays, I go into play-now and try to work on game timing. What is needed is a scrimmage mode for practice however, since you can't use your dynasty rosters in play now as far as I know.

Oh and you can use overhead in practice. When you get to the team selection screen, press down on the right analog on XBox (dunno what it is for PS2). That will bring up the stadium selection screen, and you can choose an outdoor location so overhead is available. You can also choose weather conditions, etc.

I use regular tv setting. It is the best, u can c the spacing an everything. It helps in ur running also. But I am getting use to the classic view. But u can't c where the safety is moving to in my opinion... I just love the overhead. Too me, it is the best....

Dude, what do you have, an old 13" set?

I have a 40" widescreen (but not hdtv, its from 1999). The players are smaller, sure, but seeing the whole field is way too advantageous to worry about graphics quality. I want to see where the defense is (offense too for that matter).
