    Brainstorming . . .

A small question I have, that I think we can all try to come up with answers to:

Why does EA change the controller set up so often? Why did they reverse the Circle/X pre-snap player switching? Why didn't they leave "2005" mode as default, and include the now-default controller setting as "Alternate 1" or something?

I honestly can't think of a single reason why they change their controller setup (when the set-up doesn't involve a new feature). It's not a big deal to me -- I love the game so far -- but I just can't figure it out.

    Can anyone else?

The new feature is allowing the quarterback to scramble behind the line of scrimmage without pulling down the passing icons. Seeing as it was long overdue for EA to make the offensive and defensive controls line up, the new scrambling was as good a reason as any to make the move this year.

Yeah, but you can change to the 2005 controller settings and still don't have to pull down passing Icons to scramble.

it makes 0 sense to me. i can understand if it were centered around some new feature, but there's no point in it. that's like the switching players thing using X and O. why change it so X goes counterclockwise adn O goes clockwise? that's the thing i'm having the most trouble remembering even after 30 games (online and off). i'm still tryin to go clockwise with X.
