Kobra, Bert, Bigb, RonJ and Vg Community: Ideas for League Rules

I am in a franchise madden league which has 16 participants with each guy getting two teams each to complete the 32 nfl teams. Do you guys have any suggestions to league rules? I have a couple already , cant no huddle after an incomplete pass, a 4th down rule, no onside kicks until 2nd half, Trade deadline, free agent rules, and no blk fg;s or punts. Do you guys have any other suggestions. To the guys who have had the game for a while (kobra, bert, ron and bibgb, etc....)do u notice anything I should address and put a ruling on? Our league draft is tommorrow so I want to have the rules set by then. Thanks, also vg community feel free to put some ideas out there. Let the 2006 season begin!

No running clock unless handily up in the 4th qtr (crucial IMO)

    4 min. qtrs

All-Madden but it depends on comp. Fair play off at least.

No lifting linemen off the line (preference thing, which includes manually dropping into coverage with a lineman)

    Ur call on substitutions

With Fatigue on...running the clock should be allowed

It saves your defense and makes them fresh and so clean clean

Which will be important in your game plan.

I'm not talking abouttaking your time calling plays... I'm talking about deliberately waiting until the clock runs down to 1 every play. Regardless of who wins, it's considered particularly boring, esp. when you're talking 4 min. quarters. Its a preference, obviously, but most ppl I know dont like to join a league so they can sit at the playcall screen and occasionally play football

I would think being this early in the release there shoundt be any rules in a madden league. Only reason there should be rules in madden leagues is to stop the glitching in games that are supposed to be played NFL like. LAst years rules may not be needed this year. Play the game the way its supposed to be played and worry about rules later in the season when there is problems with cheaters.

Ahh you explained it so much better

I have a ball control type of offense, and usually end up w/ most of the TOP, but once I'm ready to snap the ball I snap the stupid thing.

Trot to the line nice and slow. Make any adjustments you see fit, snap.

So that's the best way I can explain it. Once you're ready to snap the ball, then you should snap it.
