    Dime 3-2-6 DB Dogs 1

After spending considerable amount of time in the lab I think I found a nice little defensive play. First i'll go to the 4th CB package, hot route the strong side safety to zone the corner strong side (who I usually control more often than not), pinch the line and have line blitz outside, spread LBs and bump n run, hot route the MLB to zne up the middle, man up and shade the slot to the inside with the other LB. I'll generally play with the weak or strong side safety. The play reminds me alot of DB strike 1 in quarters but if you set it up properly and know your opponents tendencies this has decent coverage and a nasty blitz. I'll run this on a passing down more often than not. Especially 3rd down. I'm generating alot of heat with it. Anyone liking this blitz? Any thoughts?

Welker a possesion WR's just like all Caucasian WR's so when you can no longer do that, you gotta sit the bench or learn how to kick FGs or Punts -STICKTHEVICKTIM

I wouldnt run this against someone who runs the ball alot, once you shut down the run game this D will give opponent fits, it at least does for me.

Yeah this is a nice blitz indeed, I've mentioned it before.

Last year, I would run this same exact type of blitz out of 3-4-OLB Dogs Fire, Quarters-DB Strike and even with Nickle-3-3-5-Cover1 play by playmakering the OLBs to blitz instead of being in zone. I would either pinch my D-line and crash them wide or I would spread my D-line and playmaker my DEs to blitz str8 down. I would also sometimes playmaker my NoseTackle into a QB Spy or Yellow Middle Zone since he's basically a non factor in this blitz. So you might as well playmaker your NT to a zone to take away the short middle. These are good outside blitzes all around, especially if you know your opponent is passing for sure.

I've played guys that get their run game shut down early and then resort to the passing game. In that case then i'll stay in the 3-2-6 as my base defense, play some more cover 4, and spy underneath, mix in some outside heat and its goodnight for their offense.

    True

I used this play as soon I got Madden. Giving you my secrets now:LOL!

I would slide the line to the weak side the Blitz man is coming from and solo playmakewr blizt down on the LB and DT. And boom you're in for a quick sack.

Also if I see that slide protection is called to the weak side, just shift the d-line back to its reset position. And booom again sack!

Its a real good base defense, but when you except run better audible down to a run stopper or use the run playmaker feature

Definitely, I have a 4-6 or 4-3 run stopper when I feel the run is coming. I usually mix up my defenses. I'll start the game with a 4-3 or 4-6 speed package. Once I see the passing game ensue i'll play some nickel 3 3 5 and hot route my defenders accordingly. Dime 3-2-6 usually is my 3rd and long play.

I'll have my run stoppers in my audibles because usually I play a cover 1 or 3 base and I adjust my defense accordingly. So if I'm in a dime 3 2 6 and see that the guy audibled and I have an inkling that he's running i'll press square and go to one of my audibles. I have a 46 and 4 3 pass rush audible. You can also use the hot route audibles by pressing square and the R3 stick but I like having the ones that I picked.

For basics try more man on man plays this year with a safety coming down in the box. Such as he 4-3 Under Man Under with Man LOck Off. Then manually click onto a LB and move hima tad bit to get rid of him moving to the motion man. Xone plays don't seem to do it that much as it did last year. Blitzes are okay but that get beat to the wrong side. Happens to me often. Use more man plays I am this year. Someone on the D side of the ball will bvreak off and make a
