    vision cone help

I need advice on using vision cone. My passing game is horrible. I just entered into my 3rd year of my Steeler franchise and bumped up to All -Pro. I'm being sacked and getting picked off left and right. Receivers are dropping balls, I'm making horrible reads, I cannot get the pass off in time, etc., etc., etc.

What is the most effective way of using the cone?
Should I use R3 and scan the field?
Should I hold R2 and rotate through receiver icons?
Should I press down on R3 and use that method? BTW, still have not figured out how to use this one.

Any help to make me a better football team will be greatly appreciated.

i had the same issues when i first started, but practice will help.
i use the r3 to scan the field.
try running shorter routes so the reciever can get open quickly.
i like to use comeback routes, curls, or slants.
also try using your hb's out of the backfield.

    but practice is key.
if you think all-pro is hard, wait till you try all-madden.

I have had success recently by picking passing plays where i have 2 recievers inside the cone and hit the open one. Also try fixing the cone strait ahead and rolling out to keep the reciever inside the cone. Hot routs have made these 2 things easier and have made me more creative inside my playbook. Or............. just turn the cone off.
    good luck !

I think the passing game is really hard in the beginning, and far different from 2005. I don't have much problem with the cone vision though, cause i usually read the defense before the snap and lock on to the receiver that might have an advantage.
But it's precesion passing that i have problems with, well i play with the 49ers so i don't have very good QB and WR, but i don't like how when press the button sometimes i throw horrible flat balls (maybe it has to do with the throwing power of my Qbs). Also Battle is my flanker, so he's lined up against very good Cb, and i don't think he runs really good routes (he's poor awareness). Well i have a hard time trying to throw bullet passes when it's needed.

But overall, i think the game is more realistic, both the running game and passing game has been improved. I think now it's a lot about strategies, pre snap read, good calls, adjusting, etc...

I'm really happy about this year game, but i need a lot more practic with passing... Cause right now my Qbs has 40% completion...
