    My Franchise (Fantasy drafted)

Ok got the second overall pick, and am the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...kinda went outta the norm for me a little bit here, but thought I would mix it up and see what I got.

    Here is the team:
    Ladainian Tomlinson -HB
    Terrell Suggs -RE
    Reggie Wayne -WR
Robert Mathis -RE (Starting him at LE)
    Ben Roethlisberger -QB
    Sean Taylor -FS
    Anquan Boldin -WR
    Nick Barnett -MLB
    Mike Pearson -LT
    DeAngelo Hall -CB
    Vince Wilfork -DT
    Antonio Gates -TE
    Boss Bailey -LOLB
    Adam "Pacman" Jones -CB
    Demarcus Ware -ROLB
    Alex Barron -LT
    Bob Sanders -SS
    Steve Sciullo -RG
    Logan Mankins -LG
    Rangy Starks -DT
    Dan Kreider -FB
    Chris Spencer -C
    Nate Kaeding -K
    Donnie Jones -P
    Anthony Weaver -LE
    Matt Roth -RE
    Rangall Gay -CB
    Dan Cody -LOLB
    Mike Patterson -DT
    Barrett Ruud -MLB
    Brandon Chillar -ROLB
    Will Demps -FS
    Brodney Pool -SS
    Scott Starks -CB
    David Green -QB
    Ryan Moats -HB
    Clarence Moore -WR
    Chris Cooley -TE
    Kelly Butler -RT
    Geoff Hangartner -LT
    Jeb Terry -RG
    Scott Tercero -LG
    Jake Grove -C
    Marion Barber III -HB
    Vincent Jackson -WR
Seneca Wallace -QB (Best one that was left for a 3rd stringer)
BJ Sams -WR (Used for KR)
    Willie Parker -HB
Ovie Mughelli -FB (Just in case Kreider goes down)

I usually go all defense to start off a fantasy draft but with the early pick I thought that I would mix it up at the start of the draft.. I know that my punter sucks, but it was either get a crappy kicker or a crappy punter, and I wanted the better kicker.. I know that I have a lot of rookies, like to build the team for the future and not have many retirees the first few years, so I can get some good draft picks built up a little through training camp before throwing them into the game situations.

The 4 HB are just something that I do, because I learned from my experiences that I am always losing a back or two and think the depth will help me not have the problem of looking for a free agency back half-way through the season...and the second fullback was just my last pick and didn't know if I wanted to go that way or if I wanted to take a 4th DT..I choose to take the full back, because I seem to have that position get injured more than my Defensive Tackles do...just making a little room to breath so to speak.

Also, the reason I took Barnett was that Jonathan Vilma was gone, so Barnett was the next best choice, atleast to me.

barnett is a tight player, at least on the game. in my first season he was the second highest tackler.

Yeah not saying there is anything wrong with him as my starting MLB, but I would've rather had Vilma...

That would be good if you were running a 3-4 defense... but I'm the Bucs and they run a Cover 2, not a 3-4...so I need to have versitile linebackers who are quick and quick Corners with good hard hitting safeties..

Well you can change your defense, I use the broncos and run the 3/4, you dont HAVE to do use C2 with the bucs...

Yeah I know that I dpn't have to run a C2 defense but I like to keep it as real as I can in that aspect...plus I find that the C2 benifits my style of play a lot.

i am a bucs and broncos fan...
anyways, in my chise i am the broncos and use the cover 2. right before you choose what side you want to be on you can change unis, off/def playbooks. C2 works best for me...maybe because i'm most familiar with it from the bucs.

Yes I am aware of how to change my defensive scheme...but you being a bucs fan would know that they run the Cover 2 and that is what I am most used to running by using them all the time...

As for the franchise...I have some serious gaps in the secondary, especially at the cornerback position...With DeAngelo Hall being out for atleast another week..I have Randall Gay in at starting Corner..and just got lit up by Daunte Culpepper and the Vikings in the first game of the regular season..I ended up losing the game despite LT's valient effort in going for over 100 yards, but Big Ben had 2 TD's and 3 picks so that wasn't very good..we also didn't recover 2 fumbles on defense that were forced. Lost 44-37 despite scoring a safety, and 2 touchdowns in the final 2:30 of the game..just didn't have enough defense there at the start and didn't recover a few onside kicks that could've saved me in the end.
