Vince Young and Reggie Bush Clones

I am currently playing a two-person dynasty with my roomate, he is a Big 12 Conference TCU and I just recently left Louisville for Florida State because I couldn't recruit as many 5* players in Kentucky as he could in Texas. Problem was that by leaving Louisville and coming to FSU he has beat my *** the past several seasons in a row because his team is an A+ overall and I'm still building mine up.

What I'm wondering is has anyone ever recruited a QB that is near the same quality as Vince is in the game (I believe he is a 90 SPD 90 ACC 90 AGI with 92 THP) and if so how did you get him...was he a converted Athlete or was he just a 5* scrambling QB. If I could get someone anywhere near what Vince can do in the game I would surely turn the tide and end his ridiculous 70 game win streak and 4 National Titles in a Row!

Also has anyone ever had any luck recruiting a Reggie clone? By that I mean a RB with 97+ spd and accel that can catch and break tackles.

What was your greatest Dynasty player you ever coached??

Well the tuff part with what your trying to do is when your recruiting you dont get to see those attributes of every player. Your best luck is to find a quick 5 star QB. This will insure that his throwing acc. and power will be high, and he can then scramble just about as fast as a running back. now for the RB, i have recently started doing this. Go out and find power running backs with quick speed. and probably about a 4 or 5 star athlete. going for a power guy will help him break tackles and then the quickness takes over. And if the RB has good hands then he should be able to catch really well. Good luck.

Most Dual threat QB's in the game, and usually real life, just aren't as accurate as pocket passers. Their THP will be pretty high though. In the game, u'll never find a QB that has the same ratings as VY. Ur best bet is to train a 5* Dual threat QB. Speed usuallly goes up if his potential is good and u put enough points into training. I've reached 92 spd before with a QB. However, his accuracy will never exceed that of a pocket passer. Maybe at one point, but the passer will eventually be better. IMO, ATH QBs are worthless, even at QB. They can run but can't pass and they stink everywhere else u put them.

For running backs, if ur talking about breaking tackles like a Reggie Bush or a Cadillac Williams, as opposed to avoiding them, but still have the homerun speed, good luck. U either have big, strong, and somewhat fast or small, shifty, and speedy. I've yet to see a fast and strong back in the game. As far as hands go, the rating is misleading. Just because the back has like a 65-72 hands rating doesn't mean he can't catch. He can, surprisingly, catch a good number of passes.

I've actually found some pretty good success with Athletes. You just need to make sure you scout them first. My roomate turned a 5* Ath that didn't have any real dominant position (he was a 80 HB & WR & CB and a 84 Saftey) into a SS. He was listed with 90 Spd after recruiting but after training his speed shot up to 99. I know I would love to have a SS with 99 Spd or even a LB with 90+ Spd.

I have recruited a 5* Ath that I've made a QB. Right now his stats are 85 Spd, 84 Acc, 92 Agi, 90 Thp and 82 Tha. I won't be redshirting him, but I plan on bumping my training budget up to around 60% for a year or two...who knows perhaps he might just be the VY clone I'm looking for.

I have a 97 spd OLB. He's only 6'0" though but boy can he hit, and not to mention, run.

i love ATH qb's. they are better to throw with because they dont have a cannon arm, which means your WR's wont drop too many passes.

i took over a team i had created because they were the worst team in the ncaa and all i could do was pass the first season (lead nation in passing yd) but threw the most picks and was last in rushing. then i got a transfer hb from texas tech i went to the ntl champ game his first year. (lost to my main team colorado)

now hes a junior and hes like bush. impact 182 5'9

    92 overall 95 speed 94 agility 95 acc 87 btk

i put all my created teams in the sunbelt so some conf games can get a little crazy (i play on heisman btw.) vs north texas he had a record 22 carries 439 yards 5 tds in a 107-7 win. (i think 89 was the most points i had ever scored before then) it was 44-0 in the first quarter then i only scored 7 in the 2nd. that was his 4th game out of 7 going over 200

i recruit the fastest qbs and hope they develop. most of them will be almost like young if theyre really fast and impact. getting them to become impact is the most important thing

I think I may have found the next VY I was looking for. I recruited a 5* ATH who had A- throwing strength and B- accuracy, and ran a 4.4 yard at 6'4" 220 lbs

I started him his true freshman year and rushed for 1700 yards (mainly running speed option out of Ace Normal with an extra LT in at TE) and passed for 2100 with 63 TDs. Here were his attributes as a Freshman:

    OVR 84(+2)
    SPD 85
    AGI 90(+1)
    ACC 84
    THP 90(+1)
    THA 84(+2)

Went 12-1 this year, only loss to roomate's TCU during the regular season, ended up beating him 17-7 in the 2015 Fiesta Bowl. The Next season with 50% Training he only went up 4 overall, though I think if he stays 4 years, by his Sr. year he might be equal that of a VY.

i just recruited a 4* ATH that i turned into a QB. Hes redshirted right now (no training yet) because i already have two 95+ upperclassmen quarterbacks. here are a few stats:

    height: 6'5"
    weight: 224#
    speed: 89
    thp: 94
    tha: 84

that looks pretty vince youngish to me

If you want a Vince Young clone, pick Oklahoma State and use qb #14, Bobby Reid. He's 6-3 225 lbs and he has 87 speed I believe. He is awesome on the game and he gets better. By his junior year, he was a 99 overall, had 90 speed and would run over everyone or else run away from them, and he was a great passer.

true true. i went to OSU....robert reid is the man, to bad he sucked it up big time this season in real life. we was touted as the next vince young coming out of high school and was a huge recruting acheivement for the us. i use OSU for my dynasty. he decided to go pro after his sophmore (rs) season.

The dual threat QBs I pick up either lack in accuracy or throwing power. Heres what I have found, the taller scramblers have great deep arms but have a hard time throwing short while the shorter guys can thread the needle but can't hit a 10 yard out to save their lives. I have never picked up a RB anywhere near Bush's caliber. I've had some excellent speedster HBs that can move but don't break tackles as well as Bush. The best sramblers I have had are smaller guys (6'0'' and under) with wheels and a good accurate arm.I picked some pretty talanted scramblers with AF, but thats because I was an option guy all the way with them. If you want good scramblers with the smaller schools, plan on setting your offensive style as the option. With the bigger schools (Florida) I have gotten some great QBs with a balanced style, but it was because the school prestige and my coaching prestige were through the roof. My best bet is always to look at the interested prospects from pipeline states, they seem to sign the quickest and with the fewest amount of points. The great thing about FLA, is I have Florida, Texas, and Georgia as pipeline states, whcih are freaking breeding grounds for football studs. However, I'm starting to get bored with my current dynasty, the recruiting is too easy,so I think I'm going to sh*t can it and start over with a smaller school.

Oh yeah- White from WV could end being a VY caliber guy, close anyway. He's a little smaller, but he can move and his arm isn't bad at all.

White isn't very accurate at all and thats why Auburn and most of the other schools that recruited him wanted him to play a speed position like WR. WVU gave him a chance at QB and that's why he signed. He's got good power in that arm though but as of right now, his accuracy is suspect. We'll see how good he gets in terms of his accuracy when his junior and senior years come around. He can't run the option or hand off to slaton his entire career.

The kid is a playmaker though and knowing EA and all their infamous wisdom, I think we're all gonna agree that he's gonna be an IP in 2007.
