most of them close games the ones that arent were because I had to abandon my game plan and they got pick 6's. Oh well. I'll just keep playing. Maybe I can set some kind of a loss record!! LOL

i could teach you my drawfense.......it will turn your game around.....
No stratagy is not my problem.. I had some dude hit me for 3td when I KNEW he was passing and had cover 3 with 2 guys on him. My problem is stick skills. If I could get my stick up. I'll be fine.
I also need to get better at passing. I need to be able to pass even when they know I'm passing. I get too finiky and get rid of the ball too early. I know my problems... I just have to work through them.

Try recording your games and watching them to see open routes you miss.

best lob in nation in 06.
I see no reason why anyone wouldn't pass lead up on every throw.. unless it's in the flats.
Anywho, really just pick 1 play and practice it a ton, then take it on-line and see how you do.. Forget about the game as a whole, who cares if you loose.
Also the DB Swat drill isn't bad for learning a little bit of stick, try it out.

Pretty much running the QB draw with a few other plays mixed in. Its more of a tourney style of play and the use of it online is stupid.Originally Posted by GBerger038

Turn off ALL the auto assists. You'll improve quickly once you do.Originally Posted by Bearfanmike20
Also, rarely ever use the strafe. Just hit the swat or catch button.
When passing, build your attack around one route. The deep
post is money. Also, the 10 yard dig, the slant(inside or outside),
the flag, ect...
Try setting up underneath routes with "ghost routes". Some guys call them
"marrying routes". For example, run two streaks, and have a post underneath.;
Run two streaks on one side, and bring a drag from the other side. Dictate the
defense into a passive state.
BLITZ!!! I find it helps open up the use of vanilla coverages, especially if you do it out of Zone. You said strategy is not your problem, well maybe it is, maybe you got to push the envelope a little more. I personally prefer to play more Zone and when I do, I like to blitz hard out of it usually sending atleast 2 blitzers. However, as an occasional mix up here and there, I like to dropback 7(+) into zone. Gotta make it seem like the heat is coming though, so make your defensive alignments look the same whether your zone blitzing or not (freezing the D helps with this). So once you have established yourself as a blitzer, usually it's a bit more safer to throw in some vanilla zone coverages like an all out Cover3/4 & "F@G" and usually your opponent will throw passes quicker than he should because he's anticipating heat and quick passes usually don't do much harm against all out zones as they got stopped immediatly for little or no gain or even picked.
That's just how I like to play D, by trying to cause some confusion by using zone coverages. That's actually the only ways I've been able to play decent D. I like doing this out of the 46-Normal & 4-3 especially and Nickel packages. Other than that, I'll just play Man Cover2 or 1. I do prefer the Zone coverage though, I have more fun whether I get torched or not, I get more big hits on recievers, cause more fumbles and get INTs off deflections or bullet passes and even off some super over thrown passes. I like using Man coverage (especially Cover2) when I have a lead I'm comfortable with and just react and try to tighten down on a comeback. Just some ideas.![]()
