QB slide!?

Hey anyone out there get the QB slide to work?
I know it's supposed to be a alight tap of the dive button but no matter how lightly I tap it I end up doing a big dive and fumble the ball or have to take the tackle and get a fumble against me.
A little frustrating especially when the cpu does it at will.
I am using PC game by the way.

You are doing it right its a matter of timing. You gotta tap it quick and lay off the left analog stick.. Once the slide animation takes over any hit by the D should result in a penalty.

It took me about 5-10 games to get this down. First you gotta lay off the turbo button and after u do that i hold down on the analog stick and lightly tap the slide button. Works well for me just gotta practice it.

To make the QB Slide work you gotta go into your controller config and under the Rushing section change the Dive button to something else and save it. Then go back in and change Dive back to what it should be and save. Now the QB Slide works when you tap the button.

To get it to work you have to hit slide hard and fast. This always wont make it work. Go to practice with not defence QB sneak. Then instead of hitting button with your thumb hit it with your index finger (hard and fast) he will slide but it's a pain.....

All you guys on thise forum are awesome how you all are so willing to help out and give advice even if some of us not so good players just need to practice more. I'll go give your suggestions a try and let you know how well I get on.
