Steelers Users - WR Depth chart question

Question for the fellow steelers users out there....

what are you guys doing with your WR depth chart.

I've been keeping Ward #1, Wilson as the #2 and Holmes as my #3.

I'm tempted to move Holmes up to #2, and dropping wilson down because he seems to drop more balls then I'd like.
I've been able to use Wilson as a deep ball threat, while eveyone watches ward deep.

I run mostly 2 wr sets and holmes doesn't get a sniff of the field. I'm tempted to make the change just wanted to see what others are doing...

Yes what you state is true. But Holme is best againt man press or bump. When I see them press Holmes with man coverage I do one of two things.
    1. Send him on a streak. He will get inside position just about every time and then I roll away and lob it deep. He will do one of two things, Catch it or Drop it. But he will be open.
    2. Send him on a square in. He will break his square behind the defender. Now you just pass the ball behind him and high and he will go up for it while the defender breaks in hard and has to stop and try to reach back. If there is no saftey help then you can take it all the way.
Try it out. Morgan was best at this but Holmes does a decent job at it too.

I tried a few games with Holmes as my #2 and wilson #3.

Got a few huge drops with holmes, plus I seem to like him out of the slot better. He seems to slide farther to the ball then wilson. The ball would be just out of wilson's reach where holmes would warp to the ball more.

It reminds me of how ARE used to quickly slide out to catch a ball that was lead to the outside.

I'm think I'm going to stay with wilson as my #2, at least until he pisses me off more.

I put Holmes at #2. I think it's a wash with him and Wilson because I just don't have any faith with Wilson. He drops to many balls for me. I would rather have Holmes on the field than Wilson. Holmes seems to run his routes alot crisper too IMO. Plus that speed for the deep ball is always there. People tend to cover Holmes over the top leaving Wilson open underneath, but I am like you I usually don't go over 2 wr's.

I have thought this over for a while.. and the only disadvantage about putting Santonio in as #2 is that you are facing the other teams 2nd cb..when you keep him at #3 you bring him in against the other team's 3rd or 4th String DB he gets open a lot easier.. especially against cover 2. I know this is kinda common sense once you read it but it has worked for me...
