Need Serious Help With Passing Game.

Alright im not going to complain about how madden passing is just to hard because i know with practice and the right plays it gets easy. I play the game on ALL MADDEN, when i play agaist the cpu i can basically think about what play i want to try and it usually leaves something open. However when i play agaist a particular friend, he plays using all pass formations (dime, quarter) so he has faster players on the field to defend both the pass and the run.

You would think i would be able to rip up the hole for big gains but his lbs, safeties close very fast. On offense I usually like the throw to the tight end but he shuts this down all the time. I need some help with passing because if i spread my offense 3 wide 4 wide he backs his defenders up and i usually always get picked. He knows i like throwing to the tight end on 3rd and long, just seems like he plays alot of cover 2 im confused. Also when i usually pass he leaves his lb playing zone and rushes me on the outsides so i cant really leave the pocket. Im not saying i dont win agasit him but i dont want to just have a great game i want to dominate him LOL muahahahahahhaaha<--wicked laugh

playing someone like that, you gotta be satisfied with what they give up on defense. If all you get when you run is 2-3 yds, take them on 1st and 2nd down. that leaves you in a 3rd and short and then the throws become easier. PA can also come into play here. You gotta take what's given and make the defense rethink their strategy by dictating to them to make them do something their not comfortable doing.

If your drives take 15-16 plays before you score, then so be it. Just be patient. Not every scoring drive has to come in 5-10 plays, and not every drive has to be done in 30 seconds. Eventually someone has gotta become impatient and attempt to force their opponent into a mistake. Just make sure it's you forcing him and not vice versa.

A "w" is a "w" doesn't matter if it's by 3 or by 30. Eventually if you keep beating him, and it's always by just a few points, you'll get the "mental edge" on him and HE may start questioning his scheme.

Exactly. If he is going to line up in a nickel or dime package every down, use an I formation "Big" and pound the middle. You will eventually force him to make some changes. He will also get the idea that you've given up on passing and he will get complacent.

if he runs dime, and you run goal line hb dive, or something like that, it should be good for 3-5 yards a pop, if not, practice mode.. most people on this board will tell you that it is mandatory that you are able to run on a dime formation.. and hey be patient 4 yards per carry is great if you manage it, he'll come up closer to the line eventually.
