Question constantly throwing interceptions when I'm pass rushed

What are some good plays for passing during the rush? It seems that I always get rushed and then have to throw a lousey 5 or 6 yard pass that I complete maybe 50% of the time.

I'm having a lot of problems passing against the zone especially during rushes. Lots of int's and sacks.

Practice calling plays that beat the different zones.

Go into practice mode. Choose any play that has two guys stretching thd defense deep on the side and one up the middle (TE, slot WR, HB motioned). Pick a Cover 2 defense and look for your guy over the middle. Keep an eye on how the Cover 2 develops postsnap, it's unique in the two safeties dropping deep to their halves of the field.

Go into practice mode and find a compression set of some sort (anything with two or more guys lined up on one side of the field by each other). Make sure the routes of the play have someone going deep, someone going short and someone going over the middle towards the sideline. Run this play vs a Cover 3 defense. Keep an eye on how this defense develops postsnap. Both CB's drop straight back deep, one Safety drops to the deep middle and the other Safety will step up towards the line of scrimmage. Careful, Cover 1 sometimes looks just like Cover 3. Only diffference is Cover 1 is usually man coverage except for the deep 3rds.

Try this against Cover 4 as well. In Cover 4, all 4 CB's/Safeties drop into deep coverage dividing the field into 4ths. The flats are open vs this or anything else underneath.

Pay attention to the presnap reads of what a zone defense sets up like. It won't always be like this online because users play different than the simstyle computer. But once you can recognize what a zone defense looks like presnap, you'll be better equipped to beat it.

Also once you understand the inner workings and reads of the different coverages, you can fine tune a play(s) to beat each defense, it might even be the same play against all of them. I suggest adding the play(s) of your choice as an audible to your offense as well once you get comfortable with one.

You're welcome. Good luck. I made some corrections to the original post to make things more clear. On the Cover 2 and Cover 3 parts.
