    Playing Safety

Does anyone else here like to play safety on defense? I usually play safety because I got tired of playing with people who would just throw up streak routes all game. I've gotten pretty good at it...

I play FS, SS and, OLB. I'm not really good at reading routes and picking the ball off. What I like to do is make JACKED UP! highlights when i play as the safety. It's very entertaining to me.

I like to play a little of everything, depending on the situation and coverages I'm running.

I play safety every play. I've gotten damn good at adjusting my D to let the CPU do all the blitzing.

I don't play DT's or CB's, everything else is fair game.

In my league I lead the league in INTs with Darren Sharper, and when I played FS with Dwight Smith I lead the league with 2 defensive TDs lol

    I use the FS

Because I played in high school so I know the responsibilities. I usually just roam over the middle or play the middle 3rd of the field.

    Safety

I almost always play with DTs; I experimented with playing the safeties for a while, but I kept blowing assignments; I've gotten very good at the swim/spin with DLs, so unless it's a quick timing pass and I'm in the wrong defense, they usually don't have time to get off a good throw... My next job is to learn all the playmaker moves for defenders so I can tell the defense how to cover and go after the QB...

I play as FS now. I used to play with my MLB but due to the high amounts of streaks thrown deep I moved to FS. Once I got a hang of not biting on PA I do really well with FS. All the good players usually play as safety because you can control the entire field with it whether pass or run.

i agree that most the "good" players use the safety...i use SS most the time..you can bring extra run support..make sure PA doesn't kill both the CB and safety..

ill use the LB if i'm zone blitzing..the LBs always take such a stupid path..and always tackles the RB in PA
