cant really tell much from the safeties PRE-snap unless they come up to the box or double up on a reciever. if you come out in like twin wr and the CB is still on the other side then it is some sort of zone but be careful is not a CB blitz zone because theres nothing more irritating then not seeing a lil sht from the wing come up and get yo qb. I-Twin is the best way to qucikly tell the difference between zone and man however is not STACKED with plays which is why u can just do I and motion. also, check out the LB's and if they are in the "athletic" position, i would just assume a rush. Some times they go flats or middle BUT to be safe, check down to a curl flats or somethn. hope this helps

oh shiot i forgot Dline. if they are pinched, stretches, counters and tosses rock the sht BUT i would not suggest tosses (aka sweeps, pitches) if you are in some sort of single back. if the line makes no shift HB dive should work fine if no one is blitzing. NEVER run when more than one LB looks like he's blitzing. what happens is the oline commits out and its basicaly a dominoe affect and thats when you get the thing where the MLB goes through a red sea to ***c you up

If its a run...see how many defenders are in the box, and flip the run if its better to the other side. If theres 8 in the box, audible to a pass.

If its a pass...zoom out and look for anyone showing blitz...hot route someone to where the blitzers coming from.

After the snap on a pass first read the LBs to see if they are coming. If they are blitzing then throw to your hot read, if not then find someone whos open.

If you send your TE in motion across the box, the LB's will twitch a little bit as he passes them. Any of the LB's that doesnt move when you do this is blitzing.

Interesting never thought about or tried that as a way of determing pre-snap reads

    to add to that

I just watch the LBs in general. if any of them walk up or move its either a blitz or zone. So I set my hot read around the one (LB) that moved. Be it the TE or RB going in that area.
