    Fix fair play rules...

There are tons of things wrong with this game, but the changes to the fair play rules are highly annoying. I'm glad that EA actually seems to listen to our complaints, but they've taken it way too far.

    I. 4th down restrictions
    A. First of all, there should be absolutely no restrictions on going for it on 4th and 1 or 4th and inches. This is something real coaches do all the time. Rather than force people to punt on 4th and inches from midfield, maybe EA should create some defensive plays that are more effective in those situations.

    B. There should be no restrictions whatsoever on going for it on 4th down if you're past midfield. The way it is now, I could be at my opponent's 38 facing a 4th & 4, and unless I have one of the top kickers, I'll be forced to punt.

    C. Why in the hell are we prohibited from calling some actual punts on 4th down??? EA introduces these new fake punt plays for 07, but they end up being completely worthless, because 99% of the time, we can't even call the corresponding real punt play from the same formation! What's that all about?

    II. No huddle
Once again, I applaud EA's efforts to stifle cheesy play, but rather than actually fix the problem, they've put in an unrealistic "solution." The actual fix for this problem is, of course, to make the offense tire at the same rate or faster than the defense. Instead, they just give us BS false starts if you try to run no-huddle.

I was playing a game last night, and I was down 28-18 with 2:10 left in the game and I got a false start for running no huddle. That's just retarded. Simply setting the limit at 2:00 left in the half or game is not a viable solution. Either fix the fatigue problem, or at least make a graduating scale that allows you to run no huddle earlier if you're down by 2 or more scores.

    III. Onside kicks
Basically the same problem as no huddle. I could be down by 21 points with 3 minutes left in the game, and it won't let me onside kick. Sure, it'd be annoying if people could onside kick whenever they felt like it, but at least give us a chance to come back. I'd say onside kicks should be legal at any time in the 4th quarter as long as you're behind.

I'm sure there's other stuff wrong with Fair Play rules, but that's all I've got for now...

I'll comment on this a little:

I like the change overall, but I don't think you should be able to do this. Reason being dub, I understand coaches go for it, but not all the time. Plus, how many times is "insert impact running back/quarterback here" in the zone on these 4th and 1 situations? What I will say is, I think that you should be allowed to go for it on 4th and 1 or less when you're inside your opponents 40. I think all coaches in real life are more perceptive to go for it given the chances of kicking a fg or the net punt (20 yards).

Better yet, let us be able to run a no huddle offense, but use the same setup that's currently in place (false start) on plays where the clock stops (such as an incompletion or someone runs out of bounds). I still think the offense should get just as tired as the defense though.

They fixed the no huddle on Madden. When someone calls a no huddle play both teams are set. There is no running to the line. They are both ready for the most part. I think that should be brought over to NCAA. That is how they handle it on the 360 of Madden, just for clarification.

I like the fact that you can't go for it on 4th and 1 or 4th and inches anywhere on the field. It makes it more realistic than not and rewards the defense. The offense is too easy on this game and is always being rewarded with BS plays. This is one situation where the defense actually gets rewarded and I will take it. However, if you are inside the opponents 40, you should be able to do whatever you want.

I played GamersSucksAzz and he began Onside Kicking from the kickoff from the second half.

There is some stuff that doesn't make sense.

You all act like Nick Satan is going to be better than Shula. I hate to tell you, but he isn't. Jimbo Fisher and Bo Pellini made him at LSU.

You shouldn't do that to a fellow SPA/VG member, reguardless if you like or dislike him. This happened in a regular exhibition game online, you agreed to play him so the game should have been played the normal way, no BS.

It's all good Nibbs. The one thing it did for me is confirm why he has XXXX's for his Rep. He can say what he wants about my game, but I have lit stars. He, however, pulls BS on anyone when he is getting his azz waxed. He has all XXXX's because he often is getting his azz waxed.
