    Playaction awarness

Ive asked this question before and did not really get a clear answer so im gonna ask it again.

does the effectiveness (think thats a word) of the playaction pass have anything to do with the success of ur run game or is it just the QB and the awr of the defenders?

Its great for the run game. I use it to complement the run. If you are having success running, then the defense is doing everything they can to try and stop it. This means they go into run stop mode. So, get them thinking the run is comming, and BAM! Hit them with the playaction pass. Oldest trick in the book- yet it still works!

i know it works in real football and in theory. what i am asking is are the cpu controlled players more likely to jump and react to the run if u are having a successfull run game?

No, it is just dependent on the AWR of your defenders unless you pass commit.

I agree but I will also add this. I am sure when we all watch football we all get fooled when a great PA is done correct. It is how it is excuted by the QB and the RB which sells the play.

That being said I think it is very hard for any programmer to do this, for any video football game. Players like Vince Young, and Mike Vick, and Peyton Manning can do a great PA pass. They set it up nice. Vick and Young make it look like they are running, and Manning sells it very well.

So how would you program that into the game would be my question.

If it can be done that would be sweet. I remember Steve Bono pulled off one when he played for KC that was sick that he ran for a 70 yard TD I believe it was. Thing about it is he is sooooooooooooooooo slow. That is how good the fake was. Now in Madden or anyother game I just do not see how the defenders will be sucked in.

A good example would be does your DB's get sucked in during every PA pass? What if they ran the PA pass 5 times in a row from different formations? Just things to consider.
