    Giants= *****TY 3-4 Team?

i like using feardaarm's 3-4 scheme but im wondering if it can even be run effectively with my Gmen... ive been having my front 7 look like this:

    RE- Barry Cofield
    NT- Fred Robbins
    LE- Michael Strahan
    LOLB- Osi Umenyiora
    LILB- Antonio Pierce
    RILB- Carlos Emmons
    ROLB- Reggie Torbor

let me know if im being a dumba$$ on this setup... important guys not being used- Kiwanuka (DE, OLB), William Joseph (DT, DE), Brandon Short (OLB, ILB)

I forgot that Lavar is on I.R again like a scrub. With Lavar they are sick. Without him they suck

I do fine with the Giants on the 3-4 with the normal setup. Just make sure you pick the right plays and you should have results.

For stopping the run I either:

-Spread the D Line and Pinch the LB's
-Pinch the D-line, Crash them up. Put at least one MLB betwwen the DT and DE. Control theother and do either the same with him or move him back about 7-10 yards from the line of scrimmage and just follow the play around.

If I were you I would be more worried about the secondary. You have to play 2 Deep every play because none of their corners are fast enough to stop the deep ball.

i am not having chase blackburn in my front 7...
    i was thinking
    NT- Robbins
    DE- Cofield, Strahan
    OLB- Kiwi, Osi
    ILB- Pierce, Torbor

thats some serious speed and cofield at an ENd spot would be a nice plug...that of course leaves emmons out but torbor is faster and im not tht big of a fan of emmons anyway... and i play deep with gibril cuz he da man

I'm not sure if that's the wisest thing to try with the Giants. I personally think their much better suited for a 4-3, with those DEs I would want both of them rushing the QB virtually every down, unless it's a Zone blitz type setup where they dropback. I would experiment more with a 4-3-Over/Under, it gives nearly the same effect as a 3-4. Whatever though, try it, I personally love the 3-4, just not sure how it would work with the Giants. You'll definitely get heat of course blitzing OSI off the edge with the D-line spread or shifted towards his side, but you might miss him being on the line when you don't rush him.

Would the 3-4 work with the Giants ? yes. Would it best suit there strenths ? No.

They are built for a 4-3 with those ends and i'd want them rushing the QB basically everydown. And like Booboos said when you blitz Osi from the LB position he will cause pressure, but you will definitely miss him when he's not rushing the QB.

Stick with the 4-3 set up with the Gmen. You could sprinkle in a little 3-4 but they are built to run the 4-3.With no speed in the secondary you better bring alot of heat out of the 3-4 or u will get burned all day long.
