I'm 41, will be 42 in May. I've been playing Madden since it's inception on the original Sega System. I've had the new version every year.

I just started playing Madden PS3 online a month ago and damn what a rude awakening that was. Years of beating on computer teams hasn't helped me much at all. It was too easy and I didn't develop many skills with DA STICK. Slowly but surely I'm becomming a threat.

Remember playing the hand held football game made by Mattel Electronics in the 1970'

I'm 42, still hanging in there... You have a long way to go, I say that every year.... Enjoy it, it's been fun I will continue to have fun. I just dont get to play as often as I want without taking some days off from work and relax by playing ALL day long.

36 years old here... I was wondering how old some of these cats are on this board.

I was a late bloomer to madden. I started of with techmo bowl in '89 and then got into my career in 1992, I dibbled and dabbled with madden but, I wasn't really feelin' it... cuz you couldn't really run the rock in the mid 90's madden IMO.

And then my boy got Madden for the Xbox, I think it was 2002, and it has been at wrap ever since.

Oh and he was beating me down constantly for two years and in 2004 until I found VG Sports. I bought da "Run N 'Gun Guide" and that "D" guide Kobra put out I think it was "Kobra's guide to "D"" or something like that.

But anyway long story short my boy refuses to play me ever since about November of 2004.

Hey, just found the OFH. I am 49 - I jusst bought a ball cap that says "I'm not 50, I'm only 49.95". For the moment, that's true

I remember that Mattel game posted by Ohio Five-O. I also remember Hawaii Five-O - wouldn't it be great to turn Five-O in Five-O?

My first football game wasn't video, but was electric. Anyone remember those? You had a board and plastic men on a special base. You lined the men up is some kind of formation and flipped the switch and the board would vibrate and the men would move. You gave the ball to one player and waited until he was touched by an opposing player. If you lined everything up well you could get your line to push down the field a ways before the "blocking broke down". To pass you stopped the game and used a special player with a spring loaded arm to flip the ball at a receiver. Then you turned the switch on again.

Anybody else remember those? What about other football board games?

I started on Madden on the PC about 10 years ago. Moved to a PS2 and now own a PS3, but still play the CG Madden on the old PS2. I like the X's and O's - I was real keen on NFL Head Coach, but it didn't live up to expectations.

I'm 32 and closing in on 33 but I play Rainbow Six with a guy who is 62!!! He works with some friends of mine who are my age. I think it's really cool a guy that age is kickin it on the 360. He's a former fighter pilot who flew in Vietnam. Pretty cool.

I remember those. The expensive part (at the time) was buying the teams that you liked if they didn't come with the set.

This blows me away - they still make them. Google electric football and you get a number of hits for new product. Personally, I can't see why you'd go for one of those - even early Madden years of Madden were more fun, IMO.
