In the last week I have had it happen almost every other game unless of I was losing. I have a brand new slim Ps2 and a old one. Happens on both consoles. I know almost for certain theres a glitch. I was stupid enough to play someone that was 20-0..He didn't have bad feedback so I said what heck! Well I was surprised he wasn't very good. I went up on him 31-7 in the first half. Second half he gets the kickoff and fumbles.. Shortly after, my entire game just freezes.. There is nothing I can do except turn off the ps2. Well I proceed to turning off the ps2 as usual and log back into EA servers. No record of the game. I go back into Session match and low and behold the 20-0 dude comes back up. He must of not remembered I was the one he just glitched. I decide to play him again just to see if it was just a coincidence that the game froze.. I proceed on with the next game with him. The same exact scenario. I jump out on him by 35-3 and boom the game freezes again forcing me to reset my ps2. I'm not that good but his entire game basically consisted of hb direct and analog blitzing a cb while bumping so his predictability makes him easy pickings for me.
Now, I play a fair amount online. This has never happened when I was losing. This has happened several times this past week. Is there anything one can do to prevent this? Or is it just coincidence this is happening while I'm winning? Or do I have somekind of hardware defect in both consoles? My disc doesn't have any scratches or dust. My cable modem and router are fine. The connection isn't dropping.. I don't know what the problem is unless its indeed a glitch..
It is frustrating to play for an hour and have the game freeze after you have sealed the deal. Actually, what frustrates me is that there isn't much integrity, morals or sportsmanship anymore. People just don't seem to care about anything except a worthless online record and winning at all costs. I'm not here to complain because I'm not getting my wins. I too old and have real priorities in life other than my online record. I just hate it when you expose these type of players they can glitch their way out of being exposed.
Sorry, for the long post. Just needed to vent a little. I am about finished with NCAA for this season. Maybe a couple games a weekend with some of my buddies. Random games are out of the question. Next season, I am going to join the SPA league or some league were I don't have to deal with this nonsense.. That is if NCAA 2008 is coming out on ps2. I don't think the wife would be too happy if I spend 500 dollars on one of those new systems.. Hopefully, NCAA football will come out on ps2 for a couple more years. By then the the prices should begin to drop on the new consoles. Do any you have any information about NCAA 08 on ps2? TIA and you guys take care.
