Saints Defense

I'm trying the Saints out and was wondering if any of you guys have a specific line up on defense. They are a little slow compared to the offense. Any suggestions on subs? Thanx guys.

I play with the Saints exclusively. Yeah there secondary sucks, but the run stopping crew is fairly decent. I have a hard time with the deep ball to people like Moss and TO, but you can adjust.

One thing is for sure about playing with the Saint D....

You're right. My stick has improved somewhat. What are some of your favorite blitzes? I use the 4-3 playbook. Should I try another?

I use the Balanced D playbook. I don't have many special blitzes. I like to let my D-Line get the pressure and me lurk back for tips & ints.

Naw man. I don't sub anyone. The only subs I might ever make are in the case of someone running 4&5 wide all game. Then I sub the 3&4th CB's (more speed) in at 1&2 and run with my 1&2 in the 3&4th spot. Good for Dime, Nickle, and Quater D's.

Nickle 1-5-5 and Nickle 2-4-5 are money with Nawlins. Use the DE package with the 1-5-5 and have Grant and Smith in coverage or blitzing cause they be hollern off the edge. With the 2-4-5 put them at the OLB spot its a package for it and you can blitz them too or have them in coverage cause the saints dline is top 5 in the game. With the secondary just guard the deep ball cause Thomas and Mac will get killed.

I am on ps2 and use the saints as well we should get in a game sometime, I can show you some stuff.

As for my base D
4-3 Normal
Loop Line
Spread Safeties Twice
Put RE (left on screen) in qb spy vs. fast qbs, or any other zone,
control lb on fb or 2nd te and manually rush between the C and RG or RG and RT

Are you kidding me the Saints defense is one of the best defenses in Madden 07. Their CB's, FS, and SS can deliver some crushing blows. I use them allot and very rarely do I give up the deep ball. On the flip side I play 2 under and I manually control the deep back. I have more interceptions than i have long balls. The Saints are tight!
