JTrain and i were talking about starting one last night. I just sent Bicus an email to see if we could host it on his site, but even if we can't, I'd be willing to start a LD league if enough people are interested. So who's with me? JJ? Chomppig? humehall? BCS?
I am trying to get on started as well but we seem to be a few people light. I've already set aside the money for leaguedaddy, I just need 24 people to get things rolling. Has your league already started? If not, and if Bicus is willing to host us, you could probably save your money and we could do it over there. How many people do you have signed up so far? We could probably do the first season with 16 teams and then expand from there if there's demand.
It has not started yet. I have 21 people signed up on the waiting list. I sent out emails to the people on the waiting list Friday of last week to start scheduling tryout games and have only received 12 responses. So that would make 13 confirmed members thus far, add in you and JTrain and that’s 15. If we can get 16 I can rework the tournament to accommodate.
I don't mind having the league hosted on leaguedaddy as I will have two other leagues on there as well (PS3 and XBOX 360), but everything rides on having a PS2 league since that is the console I play with. If I cannot get a PS2 league going there is no incentive for me to lay out the cash for the other two leagues until I make the jump to next gen later on this year.
If you and JTrain would like to be a part of league management that’s totally fine as it would allow me to focus on the site as a whole. I have MightyBruin as one of the conference commissioners currently so you and JTrain could fill in at PS2 League commissioner and the other conference commissioner.
