    Finally rented '08 for PS2...

... and thanks EA, but I've already got a job. I started up a dynasty, and the offseason training crap is unreal. I've run out of QB's, and I'm not even done with the drills for QB's. There must be like 20 total drills or something. And what's the point if you can just keep restarting until you're happy with your score? Is there a penalty for that at all? I haven't even gotten to my first game, and I probably won't for a while. I don't have 9 hours a day to play this thing... is it worth all the extra busy work type crap they added? This is reminding me of NFL head coach, which sucked a hairy arss.

After playing 4 games in my dynasty, I have decided that I really like this game a lot. I think I'll probably even buy it. They've fixed a lot of things that needed fixing, guys seem to react much better to the ball in the air instead of letting it hit them in the face like they don't have a clue it's there. I like that the stupid 3rd person kick return deal is not mandatory, and it's fun to be able to break some long runs against the CPU on Heisman. Running the option is a lot of fun, but it's darn near impossible for the CPU to stop, even on Heisman, so I can imagine what it's like playing against a person who is good at it. I just playe a game against MSU where the score was 35-31 after the first quarter, with each team scoring 2 TD runs from over 50 yards and each team running a KO back. Actually, the CPU ran 2 KO's back on me, so I kicked away from that guy the rest of the game. I use Notre Dame, and I start the QB #3 who is 88 speed so I can run the option. He's only a sophomore, so it looks like Jimmy Clausen may have a seat on the bench for a while, at least for me. He's too slow for me.

You could always just sim it or only do the drills you really want to do.

True, but I'm a bit of a control freak. I rarely sim games in my dynasty. If I was to sim those spring drills, would my players benefit at all? That would be pretty cool, if I could pick the player I wanted to do the drill and then sim the drill.
