    Quinn Will Start This Week

The Browns have all but assured that Rookie QB Brady Quinn will start week 2 against division rival Cincinatti. The Browns had former QB Ken Dorsey in the facility a week after cutting him and reports are they have signed him to a 2 year deal. When Dorsey was cut Brady Quinn expressed his disapointment out loud. Dorsey was the Browns only true Vetern QB and was known on the team as perhaps the smartest player. With the signing of Dorsey all arrows point to Quinn getting the nod this week.

if they do, it might turn into a Joey Harrington in Det / David Carr in Houston situation.... there's not enough protection on the browns o line to protect a rookie QB. I think they should at least wait until week 8. Over the next 4 weeks the Browns face 3 very good D's. it's just a bad situation for Brady.

of course that being said I do move Brady Quinn to the #1 QB on the depth chart when using the browns.

Dorsey gets signed, so Quinn starts? How does that work exactly?

I don't know if I can agree with this.. I watched every snap of that game. Frye got sacked 4 times and it was not the O-lines fault.. If was him not being able to let the ball go.

You don't get much better then Thomas and Steinbach. Thomas did a great job for a rookie going against a team like Pittsburgh.

I think Quinn should start now.

ESPN's John Clayton said it would be Derek Anderson.

You were watching the same game? Did you not see when they showed the couple of plays Thomas got beat on?

At this point, there is not clear indication as to who will start. But I would be the first one to start Brady, seeing that it’s clear Derek Anderson’s short-lived NFL career is likely nearing its end, and that Ken Dorsey’s best days were left at the University. However, with many people saying that starting a young QB too early could ruin his career, I’m afraid that Romo will feel obligated to name Anderson the starter, a move which will undoubtedly cause in uproar in Cleveland and around the NFL.

    …they better start Quinn…

Of cousre Joe Thomas played like a rookie LT in his first game against an elite defense line. From what I saw he did farely well. I marked 1 sack were where he was just pure beat, the other sack came from Frye not reading the Pre-Snap defense when the Steelers brough Polomalu down on JT side when it was clear he was blitzing. About 4 of the 6 sacks the Browns had were due to Frye holding the ball. He showed this last year and he showed it this year in Pre-Season. So we kind of knew it was coming.

As to the Quinn thing, I was all for him starting, but I atleast would wait a few more weeks to let the line gel a bit more. No need to throw a rookie QB in to get his head throttled, when you can wait 4-5 more weeks and let the line gel. He's still going to get some hits but not as much if he was to start sunday.

Were you watching the game??? There were 2 sacks the Steelers had where I counted to 10 myself and Frye still had not thrown the ball lol. Yes Thomas go beat a few times however he is a rookie. Thats going to happen. What the problem was Frye looked light a deer in headlights.

Exactly, Frye was holding the ball so long and bascially caused those sacks. Anyone who didnt see the game will assume Our line still sucks, which is not true. Yea we still got some work to do, but we looked alot better then last year.
