    Pats got the sportsbooks FREAKED!

Miami is a 16 HOME favorite to the New England Patriots this season. In three years of gambling I can't ever recall seeing a more heavily favored NFL team. To put this line into perspective, Notre Dame is a 19.5 home favorite to USC.

The Pats have pillaged the books for six straight weeks. The books are BEGGING people to try bet the other way..... The hilarious part, I bet by Monday afternoon the line moves up to 17!

Wow that's a big road number. Especially since NE usually struggles down in Miami no matter what the records. (see 2004).

A lot of happy people in NE who bet on the team every week.

No doubt. Both teams are different but in 2004 I didn't think NE would lose nevermind last year losing 21-0. Can laying 16 on the road be done in confidence?

I wouldn't be taking big points against the pats unless brady gets hurt or it's certain to have a monsoon on game day.

    you mean home dog

I have seen worse when i worked in the sportsbook. I think the old Bengals and Cardinal teams would get that kind of number when playign vs the 49ers and Cowboys in the late 80's early 90's.

Just remember, that number isn't what the books think the favorite is going to win by, that's the number they think will bring them the same amount of money on both teams.
