why isnt the post route able to be hot route?

I been a serious madden player for the last 4 to 5 years. I talk to a lot of players on the madden scene and in house tournaments. The number one question that cant get answer is. Why isnt the post route able to be hot route in the normal game. Dont get me wrong the routes that are there are ok. But to the real player the post along with some of the orther hot routes would help. So i ask why hasnt EA sports or the madden network as for this to be add to the game. Maybe drop one route or just add this one. You are not able to custonimzie games in the madden tournament nor in house tournament. SO why not allow a more competive game by adding this route to normal hot route package. If anyone has a comment please post back and maybe we can change this. The hotroutes have stay the same the last three years it about time for a update or a change. im out alc

Who knows. I also wouldn't mind to be able to hotroute my backs to swing routes or anyone to a flat route for that matter.

To booboosd i respect your opion a lot a master of the 3-4 defense. But the game has change and it is time that a new concept of hot routes be add to the game. Instead of taking up time you could have a second set of hot routes right at your command. For starters you still can hot route the same way but instead of the orginal hot routes. You could press r2 twice and have two new hot routes to use to go against the defense. Allowing the direction pad to lead the route for the taking that defense is playing. I guess that is too much trouble for ea to put into the game. Then they should refrain from saying it in the game. These hot routes have been the same for the last five years on madden dont you think it time for a change. I do im out alc

With all due respect for this wonderful idea... It would ultimately be one more thing for people to NOT KNOW how to do.
