Is there any disadvantages to the PS3 Skinny?

Today is the day I get my ps3, just wondering if I should get the Skinny. Its 299.00 !

Unless you have a ton of PS2 games you want to play, no. The Slim is the way to go. Runs cooler, uses less energy and is incredibly silent when running.

The slim actually runs a bit louder than the fat ps3s ... I noticed this right after I got mine , most reviews on the slim say the same thing.

nb acually it is louder, and it get very hot, noticably more than my 40 gb thats went to sht, when my 40 gb broke i coulda got it fixed for 150, but i sold it on ebay for 70 new pse 299, and u get a stick thats 55. def a better deal if ur ps3 goes to sht

My wife's slim is way quieter than my original 60gb. Especially when the 60GB's fan kicks in.

Haven't heard anything negative...I think it only has 2 USB ports which would suck if you play Rock Band/Guitar Hero with more than 2 people...That's all I would say.

Can't install linux on it, but most people don't anyway. You can't play ps2 games on the larger current version anyway

You should be able to walk into any GameStop or WlaMart and walk out with a PS3 Slim today. Warhawk is only multiplayer and yes, it is still being played There is no single player (but there is an offline training mode). Let me know when you want to get going on it and I can make an unranked server room where we can chat while playing.
