random/involuntary player action!!!

for the last month or so i've experienced weird gameplay. out-of-the-blue laterals,players stop running although i've got my thumb on stick, horrible pursuit angles, defenders turning their backs on ball carriers, linemen not picking up free running defenders("matador" style) and QBs overthrowing WIDE open WRs, trying to juke right but ball carrier goes left. has anyone else been going thru this type of ish lately???

I once had the same issues, but with Madden 06, and I was using a gamecube controller that had orange juice sloshing around the inside. I'd go ahead and invest in a new controller. Some of those happen anyway, but the juking the wrong direction should be a clear indicator that something's wrong.
