NextGen madden finally gets it done...

with the announcment that they will be giving us the option to use the old style controls instead of the strategy pad madden 11 is now officially the first next gen version to be worth the pricetag

ill definetly be picking this up at midnight now. i was super excited with the demo other then the strat pad.

love how man defense is.
love the dline pass rush
love the deep lob
love the running
love the blocking
like the player movement, not good, but certainly much better

first nextgen game to come near what the CG game gives us. should be an excellent year. looking forward to VGRL!!!!

I wouldnt make any announcements like this until ive played the game for a week or two.

If some of the man issues aren't addressed (Capn brought up some good ones), we will have issues.

If Online Franchise is really the same, that will be disappointing.

Let's wait to see the final copy to claim Madden is back.

I've been playing it for a week now, and it is a major, major improvement over anything that I have played NG wise. The user control is right where it needs to be. I don't understand all the complaining about the strategy pad, I actually like it better than using the A button.

The run game is tough to stop, but I would rather have a hard to stop run game than have no run game outside of fb dive and off-tackle.

I think everyone will be happy w/ it when they get it, other than the guys who want to setup 10 step blitzes before the snap.

the core elements of the game wont change. minor u/downgrades to the final version wont sway my opinion, if anything the final version wil just be tightened up a bit

the man issues dont pop up that frequently, and overall man defense is very well done. better then m10 or ncaa. online franchise will likely disappoint, but it is alot easier to deal with a poor online franchise when the game doesnt blow. last year ngml did ok, and the game sucked. if the game is good i dont think i will mind no salary cap as much as i woudl have

yeah, its really the first playable version of madden that your not looking to put down in amonth. cancelled my ps2 pre order and will be getting the ps3 one

The game is good and although pass rush by the CPU is good, manually I cant do anything. Its like the game is fighting me not to get to the QB. So I end up getting coverage sacks; good but boring.

All in all, a pretty good Madden demo.

when i let the cpu control the dline they get alot of pressure for me. when i manally control them i dont get sacks but i can usually get pressure where if it was a user controlled team he might panic

I agree this is the best gameplaying madden on nxt gen. and I personally think the D-pad is gonna be a good thing it doesnt take very long to get used to.

So long as there isn't a "Gameday Patch" (ala NCAA) to mess this thing up, I'd have to say the only thing I didn't really like about it was the "Strategy Pad". So yeah...its probably the best since Next Gen came out.

I especially like the authenticity of the route running. And SO HELP ME...if they do what NCAA did and make EVERY DB a Hall of Famer...they're idiocy will be confirmed.

That's what is making the difference. I'm hoping to get the Q&A answers back soon because one question I asked them was about last year's big thing - Pro-Tak, the gang tackling seems a little different to me (you guys too?) and i was wondering if Loco played into that.

thats a good question, I wonder if that pro tak actually messed things up last year like with the AI cuz running the ball was god awful and I wonder if that had anything to do with the blocking and getting the D to do those stupid gang tackle animations.

Did this just happen? I'm just glad I can learn more juicy plays now!

I played 10 for a while but the controls felt like there was a delay and real unresponsive. But 11 is very nice even though its just a demo i like the way there heading. The run game is back thank god, i love running the ball but i can also MIR on your azz as well..

I cant stand how u make the adjustments though, booooooooooooooooo..
