I'm playing tremendous defense this year. I establish dynamics that limits what players can do, then I jump all over the counter for what I'm doing.

Players love the screen this year, so I'll zone blitz the crap out of them until they have to throw it. Then, I'll QB Contain a player on the screen side, manually move my user defender out there, and have the CB in a short zone so I can click on and blast the reciever - while the blockers are tied up with my other 2 defenders.

How do I stop the pitch? How about putting the OLB in a QB Contain and usering the DE - and shooting him through the B Gap to take the outside again and hit the runner for a 4 yard loss? Does that work?

Common sense is completely overpowered in Madden 10.

I agree. This year is more about knowledge and strategy than it is about gimmicks.

Thats hows its always been, how good you where in the previous versions combined with the knowledge of the inner workings of madden have always been what sets apart the elite from the bums.

Pick the right plays at the right times, you can increase your chances of this through playtime.
