PLEASE HELP...stopping Onside kick cheat

What up dudes...I have a friend who has kicked 4 straight onsides at the end of each of the last 4 games that he was losing to me, to make a comeback, & he has gotten all 4 of them
Is this a type glitch/cheat/exploit of the game?
Is there a constant way to pull this off?...I heard of this type of cheat it a little
Is there a counter?
& whats your thoughts on players who use this onside kick recovery?

Really appreciate the feedback(its a big debate now in my league). One

lots people have gotten into this onside kick thing... some guys get it back 90% of the time... i donno...

I played some guy last night that would try to kick onside everytime he scored. He didn't use the onside setup, just normal kick and kick it soft to the left or right side. I just clicked on and hit fair catch. After that wasn't working he tried the normal onside kick. I just picked the onside kick formation and he didnt get one on me. Not sure how he gets all his on you.

I won the game by 2 touchdowns but I had to fight through goalline offense, two pt conversions and attempts at onside kicks the whole time. Then I got disconnected and he sent me a message "lol..nice try". So I filed a complaint about him.

lol i feel your pain. im definitly above average player in madden (not to gloat). ive been playin since day 1. anyways, my boy has beaten me 3 of last 4 games from deficits of 28, and 17 twice, all in 4th qtr. 100% onside kick efficiency. all it is, is aiming it low and 2 the left, kicking short but toward opponents feet causing a "fumble" of sorts by a player touching it. it technically isnt even a legal onside kick, but if the defender touches it is legal ball. its the dumbest thing ever, i never even got 2 get on offense once in the 4th quarter in those 3 games. some may argue, "hold him on defense"! well easier said than done when momentum shifts, and its on your own 40, n he can kick a field goal n get it right back again. i for 1 am done playin madden til i can either defend the onside kick GLITCH, or til next years. i also will not buy any system or madden game that doesnt have fantasy draft on the system. if someone knows how to defend, please let me know. its the only game i play, so as of now im retired from video games.

Ha ha, I just figured out how to do this and its pretty cool. I try doing it once or twice a game depending on the situations.

Anyway All you really have to do is pick onside recover from the get go and it wont be a problem. If that doesnt work, then substitute all your best pass catchers onto the onside recover package, preferebly the ones nearest to the sideline. The sideline is where the kick is aimed the majority of the time.

a guy I played had torry holt on onside recover and just about shut it down completely.
