  1. what is an effective running scheme…seems like in all madden no running play works

one that i know for sure works is Formation: NEAR Play: HB draw. Its under the west coast offensive playbook. It is good for 6-8 yds about 90% of the time you use it. Good luck

  2. How does one start to put together an effective scheme?? What is the process? What goes into an effective scheme?

To put together an effective scheme, you can have one money play and several plays that compliement that one play. A simple scheme can be a HB Dive, Toss, Counter, PA Pass. Each one of those plays need a slightly different defense. Dive requires the line to be crashed, and that leaves the toss open. To stop the toss, you either spread the line, which opens up the dive again, or you overload that side and that causes the counter to be effective.

  4. Read the article about “What you don’t know can hurt you.”. Have seen a number of players online cheat the AI. I do have to take exception with the statement “freestyle players frown upon players running fake and going on 4th down.”. Going for it every forth down happens in about 50 percent of the games I play.

Madden developers need to add a feature to allow community policing of this behavior. I for one am tired of playing guys who cheat AI and go for every forth down. This is a bigger problem than folks want to admit.

  6. Great Madden gamer CCG1979 PS3.

Ever since last year that 46 blitz is tough as hell to beat. Guys who use it aren’t that good and I can beat them but this defense leaves you now time to throw and is very tough to run against. I know screen works but compared to last yr you can see the D-line is smarter.

Any advice on beating this Defense it is so frustrating not being able to work the ball down the field.

  9. I will get all the way to the red zone and be close to scoring. Before i know it,the other guy picks me off or gets a fumble. Im doing draw plays, play action passes, cross routes and curls. I think my timing is off. The other guy is doing zone blitzes,cover2, and man to man hooks.
