Last week on TWIM 72, ZFarls and SGibs broke down tons of great Madden NFL 13 tips. Here is a specific question that looks into scoring in the red zone. SGibs is a big fan of the horizontal passing attack and shows you one of his favorite plays. ZFarls shows you an old tactic with a new twist to really go up for a jump ball in the end zone!
What is your favorite red zone play? Leave it in the comments!

Love the Gun Tight Slot Stick play from the Arizona PB. Motion the RB to the right and hot route him to drag. If zone is called, look to the receivers on the flat route. If man, target the slot receivers running the curl route ( I put my big TEs here). If all else fails, the RB on the drag should be open for positive yards if not TD. And yes, this is the same play from the e-Starter offense guide.

What routes are you getting beat on? Outside WR or slot? I haven’t been getting beat deep at all, but I am sure we can help with some more detail.

Also your gonna see a ton of press man coverage in the red zone as well (which should stop the spacing concept). to combat that i’ll usually go to a more compressed set like a bunch or snugs to get some natural picking action on my pass patterns. Passing plays that have designed motion such as the mesh passing concept also work well against press man in the red zone. Good video btw love the X’s and O’s of football.

Double slants out of the pro twins formation. The double slant all the way across usually gets the halfback openwhen you audible him into a block and release. Also curl flats from the singleback ace makes the defense guard the run and a good TE streak can find its way in.
Thanks for the tips guys! Keep doing your thing!
