Quick Set Up:

Step 1. Pinch the defensive line.
Step 2. Crash the defensive the line.
Step 3. Take control of the SDT and move him straight back off the line of scrimmage.
Step 4. Once the ball is snapped, hold him and don’t let him rush.

Another misconception about the 3 man pass is that you can only do it from 3 down linemen sets. There are plenty of 4 down linemen sets where you can get the same type of heat as you will see throughout the book. The 4-3 Normal DE Contain is good example of how to get A Gap heat from the defensive ends.

To set it up, first pinch the defensive line.

Next, take control of the WDT and slide him over the top of the C.

Then crash the defenisve line.

Switch the SDT and move him straight back a few yards off the line of scrimmage.

Hold the defensive coach cam while in control of the SDT before the snap.

Once the ball is snapped, hold him and don’t let him rush.

One (if not both) of the DEs will shoot through the A Gap to get pressure on the QB.
