Madden 08 - Using the TE in the Red Zone
The Red Zone needs to be the "cash-in" zone. We want to
come away with six points here. The TE is a big weapon for us in this
area. We like to get the TE the ball off of run action.

| The first play we want to highlight as a part of our Red Zone "cash
-in" scheme is the Singleback Big 3TE PA TE Cross. This
play features two crossing routes by TE #2 and TE #3. |
The defense comes out in a 4-3 Normal front. They use a Cover
0 scheme to defend the formation - Free Fire. |

| The QB and HB do a good job selling the play fake. |
Because the pressure is coming up the gut, we roll the QB out
to the right. |

| We spot TE #3 on the crossing route. |
We get the ball out in front of him for the catch and the score. |
Singleback Big Wing PA Rollout

| Another thing we like to look for in the red zone is delay routes
by the TE's off of run action. The Singleback Big Wing PA Rollout
is a prime example. TE #1 runs a delay out route, while TE #2 gives
us the crossing route threat. |
The defense will attempt to defend the formation with a cover
0 scheme - Free Fire - from their 4-3 Normal Front. |

| The QB and HB sell the run action. |
TE #1 throws a block on the defensive end. |

| He releases the DE and runs his route. |
We hit him on the out with no one around him. |

|
| Turn it up and get into the end zone. |

| Our final play here is Singleback Twin TE WR PA FL Stretch. This
play features auto-motion by TE #2 along with a flat route by the
same player. TE #1 will pull the coverage with the corner route. |
The defense comes to the line in a 4-3 Normal front and defends
the Red area with a cover 0 scheme - Free Fire. |

| TE #2 comes in motion to the left prior to the snap. |
The QB and HB do a good job of selling the run fake drawing all
the attention to the HB. |

| TE #2 slips out in the flats all by himself. |
We get the ball to him. |

| Turn it up the field. |
Then get into the endzone for the score. |
