What You Can Expect from the Patriots Guide

- Bust Open Coverages With Quick Snap Plays - You need to have a number of quick snap plays in your arsenal. These are plays where you can just go up to the line of scrimmage, press hike and run them without any adjustments. - Take Back the Line of Scrimmage and Play Under Center - Again, the 3 Man pass rush has changed the face of the game and forced most players to run only Shotgun sets. Ron uses different types of motion and put some serious lab work in to develop schemes that let you play from under center against any defense.
- Confuse Your Opponent With Same Look Plays - A good player will learn to read tendencies. If you always run the same plays from the same formations, or only use motion on certain plays, they will read your mail and smoke you. Ron creates multiple play combinations that all have the same look, motion, hot routes, etc. so that the defense will never know what is coming.

I have been a customer of yours for several years. I purchase several Guides during the course of the Year, and ALWAYS get stuff that makes me a better player. I am one of those guys who writes everything down. I play in several Leagues where stats are recorded, and I keep my stuff around, because it's fun to look to look at old stats at the end of the season. Since I purchased the Patriots Playbook Guide (PPG), I have had 4 of my top 5 rushing performances for the year, AND my Top 5 Passing performances also.
Between the Plays, and little tips they give you, I rushed for 146 yards with Jamal Lewis from Cleveland. Thinking it was possibly just a coincidence, I used the same plays in my next game as the Buffalo Bills. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 127 yds and 3 TD. The following game is what clinched it for me. Playing again with the Bills, Marshawn Lynch got injured in the first quarter. The Injury Message didn't pop up, so I paid it no mind. It wasn't until AFTER the game, as I was copying my stats, that I realized Lynch NEVER RETURNED TO THE GAME. It was backup HB Anthony Thomas who rushed for 101 yds and 1 TD in 3 1/2 quarters of play. I WAS SOLD.
I'm still not finished Practicing all the Pass Plays, but once again the improvement in my Offensive Output is obvious. Just last week, Browns QB Derek Anderson threw for 376 yards with 4 TD. It used to take me 4 or 5 games to pass for that many yards, lol.
The thing I like best, is that it's not a Guide that makes you better by using Gimmicks or Tricks. AND, it's not just a deep pass Guide. I play in Leagues, with strict rules, and this Guide's plays fall within those Rules. Do yourself a favor, go get this Guide ASAP!! You can go about learning it my way, or make up a System of your own.
But you will not be sorry! If you take Madden seriously, your making a HUGE MISTAKE if you don't buy this Guide!!!!

Singleback Empty 5WR Angle Post
This is a great play versus the high
pressure blitzes that I have been showing in previous articles.
Because this is an Empty Set you need to spend a few minutes in
practice mode just to get use to the timing required to use this
set versus a blitzing defense. Anytime you are in an empty set, whether
it's under center or in Shotgun you are inviting the defense to
blitz you. We know what they will do so this is how we will beat
them at their game.
If you are like me, then you don't like being told
that you can't do something. This year in Madden a lot of people
feel like you can't run passing plays when coming out under center.
I refuse to believe this, and instead I put more practice time in
find passing plays that can beat the insane pressure in this year's
game. Make no mistake about it, you need to put the time in practice
mode if you are going to use this play and formation.

The key to success in Madden is not only atribututed
to making good play calls, but also preparing against defenses that
test the plays you want to run. The set up that the offense is facing
here is the Dollar. This, just like the Quarter Normal is one of
the most common and most used blitzing defenses in the game. When
running this play I will hot route both outside receivers to streak
routes and change the route of the "RB" receiver to an
inside slant.

The purpose of these hot routes is to threaten the
defense down field and use that threat to open up our primary routes,
the "RB" slot receiver and the "A" tight slot
receiver. The slot is running the angle post and we will combo
that route with the slant by the "RB" receiver to open
one or both of these routes.

Before the snap I will motion the "RB" receiver
to the left. You want to time the motion up so that you hike the
ball just as the receiver crosses behind the inside slot receiver.

This is why you must get in practice mode and develop
the timing needed to run this play or any play from this formation.
If you don't value practice time then you will get blown up when
in this formation. Once I hike the ball I have to roll the QB out
to the left to avoid the pressure.

While I'm rolling the QB out to the left and my receiver
is running his slant across the formation, you want to also look
for the tight slot running the angle route. It's not often that
you will find a defense that will be able to cover both the slant
and the angle post.

While the play continues to develop down field we
see that the linebacker is scraping across the field and preventing
a pass to our slant receiver. At this point of the play we need
to decide should we run with the QB or trust our receivers to get
open? With no immediate pressure I trust that the play will open
up.

The receiver throws his hand up to call for the ball,
and we also see that the outside Split End is open on the streak
as well.

Before I let the ball go, I want you to see my primary
reason for running this play. Often you will be able to take advantage
of the inside slot receiver running the angle route. This is extremely
effective if you like to use a Spectacular Catching receiver as
your #5 receiver.

You can force the defender to come up and play the
QB by moving forward. Once I do this I take the "RB" slot
receiver as my option, because the linebacker came up to prevent
me from taking off and running with the quarterback.

The ball is caught with room for our receiver to gain
more yards on the play. Kelly Washington is a strong receiver and
can easily drag 1 or 2 defenders after the catch. All you need to
do is hold the speed burst and the "A" button to keep
fighting for extra yards. Be careful though because against some
defenses they will strip you when fighting for extra yards.

The button combination that I just mentioned is why
our receiver was able to pick up an additional 5 yards on the play
and drag the defenders in front of him for close to 5 yards. Again,
I can't stress this enough, you must get in practice mode and prepare
against these high pressure blitzes so that you are conditioned
to making the quick reads and movements required to be successful
when running the empty or 5WR set. |
